20 TIPS TO SHED BODY FAT FOR GOOD Don't hide your muscle underneath layers of body fat. Get rid of the fat and keep it off. Here, we give you 20 ways to give body fat a proper send-off. A big part of it has to do with your lifting and  cardio regimens  - keep those up. But in this list, we step away from the gym and into your kitchen to present a practical list for cleaning up your eating habits and, as a result, your physique. 1. CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE. When you go on a "program" to  lose body fat , you may set yourself up for failure. A program implies an endpoint, which is when most people return to their previous habits. If you want to lose fat and keep it off, make changes that you can live with indefinitely. Don't over-restrict calories, and find an exercise program that adequately challenges you, provides progression and offers sufficient variety so that you can maintain it for years to come. 2. DRINK MORE WATER. Water is the med...

Super moon 2016 tonight: Seven tips for taking smartphone pictures as moon passes close to Earth

Image
THE biggest moon of the century is now rising over Sydney, but for the most part Sydneysiders are being forced to rely on occasional breaks in the clouds, as grey conditions roll in. The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting mostly cloudy conditions along the NSW coast and ranges including Sydney and Canberra, Those who are planning to flock to popular landmarks across Sydney can expect a one or two showers but that will ease as the night goes on. Be sure to pack a jacket as temperatures will drop to as low as 12 degrees. Meteorologists say there will be a ‘clear, uninterrupted view’ of the supermoon after 10pm. The “supermoon”, as it has been dubbed, occurs when the moon is full and orbits close to Earth. Last time it was this close was in 1948 and it won’t put on such a bright display until 2034. Thousands of Sydneysiders are expected to flock to popular landmarks and beaches to capture the event. But images of the moon rising over iconic structures such as the Harbou...

Trump conducts election eve campaign marathon

Image
RALEIGH, N.C. — Donald Trump said Monday that enthusiasm for him and anger with the political establishment will deliver a victory that stuns his critics, as the Republican presidential nominee traveled to five states the day before Election Day. "Our failed political establishment has delivered nothing," Trump told supporters at a fairgrounds arena in North Carolina, a state he needs to carry Tuesday. "My only special interest is you." Echoing themes he has used for more than 16 months on the campaign trail, Trump said that "years of betrayal" by government elites will end "the day we take office." Trump told backers that if he doesn't prevail this week, "we've all wasted our time." Appearing earlier in another key state — Florida — Trump told a screaming crowd in Sarasota that "this is it" for his presidential bid. "We will never have another opportunity," the insurgent Republi...

Mark Cuban says Mavericks' ESPN ban is only for two reporters

Image
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban clarified which ESPN media members will be denied credentials to cover his team's games this season. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported  that the ban actually extends to all ESPN.com reporters, though Cuban told USA TODAY's Sam Amick on Monday that MacMahon and Stein are the only two reporters who won't be credentialed. “We are deeply troubled by the Dallas Mavericks’ move to revoke the credentials of two respected, longtime NBA journalists,” the Professional Basketball Writers Association said in a statement on Monday. “The Mavericks’ move is without merit. We call on the Mavericks to reverse their decision or for NBA officials to intervene to allow Tim MacMahon and Marc Stein to continue their work.” Cuban, whose Mavericks are off to a 1-5 start, hinted on Twitter that the move to yank ESPN.com’s credentials was a business decision, though he didn’t get into specifics. ESPN is a broadcast partner...

John Oliver is super sorry he asked Trump to run for president

Image
Remember when people thought it might be funny if Donald Trump ran for president? John Oliver does. The  Last Week Tonight  host dedicated one last segment of his show to the 2016 presidential election , and like many other celebrities, he made an impassioned plea for his viewers to vote. Because the election is not a joke, even if he thought it was back in 2013. Oliver played a clip from his time guest-hosting  The Daily Show  in which he downright begged Donald Trump to run for president because he thought it would be a great gag. He tries to come up with an explanation or an excuse in the present, but he's got nothing. "But I have been spectacularly wrong before," he added, before showing another  Daily Show  clip where he said the Chicago Cubs would "never, ever" win the World Series.

Trump aide: We did not take Trump's Twitter away

Image
No, Donald Trump’s Twitter did not get taken away. At least that’s what Trump’s senior adviser Boris Epshteyn told USA TODAY Monday after a New York Times report Sunday said campaign staff had finally been able to take away Trump’s signature form of communication. “No one is taking away his Twitter. He’s his own man,” Epshteyn said. At a campaign rally for Clinton on Sunday, President Obama seized on the Times story. “Apparently his campaign has taken away his Twitter. In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control they said: ‘We’re just going to take away your Twitter,’” Obama said in Kissimmee, Fla. “If somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at 3 in the morning because SNL made fun of you then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.” And on Monday in Ann Arbor, Mich. Obama brought it up again: “If your closest advisers don’t trust you to tweet t...

Donning an Indians hat, Sheen promised he had his trademark "Wild Thing" glasses, but he wouldn’t put them on until game time. He also brought a superstitious “Jobu” doll from the movie. USA TODAY World Series Game 7 lineups: Indians react to Game 6 failings “I brought this guy, so the Cubs are in serious trouble,” Sheen joked. Some of your fat is right under your  skin . Other fat is deeper inside, around your  heart , lungs ,  liver , and other organs. It's that deeper fat -- called "visceral" fat -- that may be the bigger problem, even for thin people. Deep Belly Fat You need some visceral fat. It provides cushioning around your organs.
